Iran: Israel too weak, vulnerable to attack Iran
IRNA-16 May 2008
Defense Minister Brigadier General Mostafa Mohammad Najjar said Thursday that Israel is too weak and vulnerable to attack Iran.
"Israel has raised the claim of attacking the Islamic Republic of Iran mostly to cover up its weak points and harsh domestic crises," Najjar told IRNA on Thursday.
He said Israelis have made the claims on the 60th anniversary of their establishment to divert public opinion from broad corruption and weakness of Israeli officials.
He added that Lebanon's destiny is important for the world of Islam.
He went on to say that Iran has been giving the priority to Muslim states on the basis of its constitution which calls for legal support for the states within framework of the international conventions.
To this end, Iran supports united, safe and broad-based Lebanon in which all parties and groups are cooperating with each other, he noted, adding that any foreign intervention will be harmful to the interests of the Lebanese and serve the enemy wishes.
