Jimmy Carter sued for five million dollars over falsehoods in 'Palestine' book

Washington - Feb 2 : Former United States President Jimmy Carter is facing a five million dollar-plus lawsuit over his book 'Palestine: Peace Not Apartheid', which was published by 'Simon and Schuster' in November 2006.

The case filed by a group of disgruntled readers in the Manhattan federal court claims that the book "is filled with demonstrable falsehoods, omissions and knowing misrepresentations intended to promote Carter's agenda of anti-Israel propaganda".
