Beirut, 17 July (AKI) - Israel has allegedly sent text messages to people's mobiles in the Shia-dominated southern city of Tyre, threatening "retaliation" against Lebanese Shia group Hezbollah militants who attack the Jewish state. "If Hezbollah carries out any action against Israel, we will retaliate. Yours, the State of Israel," read the text messages sent to mobile phones in Tyre, Lebanon's national news agency NNA reported on Thursday (link to original report).
