Iran will 'punish' Bush if attacked
Wed, 16 Jul 2008
The Leader of the Islamic Revolution says 'punishment' will be meted out to US President George W. Bush should he attempt to attack Iran.
"The assumption that the US president will order a military strike against Iran before he leaves office is wrong," Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei said Wednesday.
"Punishment will be meted out to anyone who dares and try to attack Iran," the Leader added.
Ayatollah Khamenei expounded that if Bush launches an offensive against the Iranian nation, he will be brought to justice even after he leaves office. President Bush, who will leave office in January 2009, says the use of military force remains an option if Iran continues with its nuclear enrichment program. (Press TV)
