Arafat's pilot dies at 57

JerusalemMa'an Former Palestinian President Yasser Arafat's pilot Mahmoud Siyam died on Sunday at the age of 57. The funeral procession will be held after the noon prayer in his home village of Mukhmas. Siyam joined the Palestinian revolution in 1966 and was in charge of the radio services. He then worked as the private pilot for late president Arafat. Siyam co-founded the Revolution Airport in Lebanon. When he returned to the Palestinian territories after the signing of the Oslo Accords in 1993, he supervised the establishment of the Gaza International Airport.
