Iran: Great Prophet III produced desired results

TEHRAN, July 13 (MNA) – Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) Deputy Commander Mohammad Hejazi announced here on Sunday the Great Prophet III achieved all its objectives.
“The joint maneuver by the IRGC air and naval forces was conducted based on a predetermined program and ended completely successfully,” the commander noted.

“Assessing the readiness and speed of the armed forces in utilizing new tactics and test-firing various kinds of missiles were among the objectives of this exercise,” the IRGC public relations office quoted Hejazi as saying.

“The technological advancement and successful utilization of a variety of modern systems and domestically-designed tactics added to the (military) capability of the IRGC,” he declared.

The IRGC test-fired nine long- and medium-range surface-to-surface missiles, including the upgraded version of the Shahab-3, in the Persian Gulf on Wednesday. The tests came in response to threats by the United States and Israel, which have said they may strike Iran’s nuclear sites if Tehran refuses to halt its uranium enrichment program.

The missiles included an upgraded version of the Shahab-3 missile, which officials have said could reach targets 2,000km away.

Hejazi said the IRGC is ready to defend the nation against any possible attack.
“A look at history shows that the great Iranians have never bowed to the oppressors and they will practically give a crushing response” to any military adventure, the commander went on to say.
